About Me
I’m Micah, a Staff Software Engineer at a cloud-based data sharing platform. I work in Java and Angular, focused on security and observability. When something grabs my attention, I go deep, and right now that’s AI in real engineering work.
I spend a lot of time with Claude, building workflows and running experiments to find where AI genuinely raises the bar on code quality. Not just velocity, but fewer bugs in production, better tests, more maintainable systems. The standard doesn’t drop just because the tool is new.
Off the clock I race marathon XC and gravel bikes. Structured training, early mornings, the whole thing. Some of my favorite days are long rides in the mountains where there’s no clock and no course. I also spend more time than I should admit tweaking split keyboard layouts on my Corne and Lily58.
This site is where I write about what I’m learning or building, mostly software engineering, sometimes bikes or keyboards. If something here is useful to you, even better.
